November 20th, 2008 [Illinois Fast Pitch Competition]

      The Stone Medical Corporation is proud to accept the first place award for the second annual Illinois Fast Pitch Competition. The competition was held in Chicago, IL on November 18th with twenty companies competing for the award and a cash prize. Ben Stone, president of the Stone Medical Corporation, presented the company in a 3 minute presentation followed by a 2 minute Q&A session. Proceeds from the competition will be applied to the final payment for Phase I clinical trials on the Clean Collect Blood Collection System.  

October 1st, 2008 [New Chief Scientific Advisor]

      The Stone Medical Corporation welcomes Dr. Richard Albert, MD as a scientific advisor to the Company. Dr. Albert is the Chief of Medicine at the Denver Health Sciences Center, Vice Chairman of the University of Colorado Sciences Center, a tenured Professor at the University of Colorado Medical School, and an Adjunct Professor of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Denver. Dr. Albert brings a wealth of clinical trials, medical, administrative, and general experience to the Company. August 1st, 2008 [Phase I Clinical Trials Begin]

      The Stone Medical Corporation is pleased to announce the opening of the first phase of clinical trials on the Clean Collect Blood Collection System. Dr. Ronald Schifman is currently leading the study as principal investigator at the Veteran's Affairs (VA) Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona. Dr. Schifman's team includes an experienced clinical trials manager Mr. Tom Vincent, PA and two highly skilled technicians. The results of the first clinical study will help determine if Clean Collect is capable of reducing blood culture contamination rates and will provide background for full scale clinical trials.
